Why
don't I just use eBay's built in auction picture hosting?
eBay provides the first image free, but then will charge you
$.15 for each additional image you include. If you are using three
images that is an additional $.30 you are paying just to list
a few extra images. On top of this, eBay will compress your image
in size and quality and many times the details of the image are
not even viewable after this. The key to an effective auction
is having 2 or 3 detailed pictures in your listing.
Do
you resize my pictures and make them smaller or lower the quality?
myPhotoDrive does not change your images in any way. The image
you upload is the image that will be included in your eBay auctions,
this means you will always have good quality images in your auctions.
Do
you offer FTP or just browser based uploading?
myPhotoDrive does not offer FTP image uploading. The majority
of our users prefer browser based uploading due to it's simplicity
and ease of use. Thus, we have chosen to offer browser based uploading.

on our Web/Image Server in which your images are stored and served.
You
are in control of that disk space and you may upload and delete

We
allow only JPEG and GIF images on our auction picture hosting.
The
Amount of disk space is determined by the plan you choose at sign-up.
We then provide an extremely easy to use Browser Based Image Upload
Interface to upload your images for auction picture hosting. We
than generate the html code for you to insert into any type of
description field for auction sites and classifieds. We also provide
the image URL if you want to just use a direct image link.

Do
I need a digital camera or a scanner?
You need some way of getting a JPEG or GIF file (an image file)
onto your computer. The image file can be on your desktop, your
hard drive, a floppy, ZIP disk, CD, or any other "drive".
The file can come from a scanner, digital camera, video camera,
a photo CD or disk (from your photo processor), from an email
(if you have a friend who can send you your images), or from a
website.
Do
I email my pictures to you?
No. We do not process images from emails. If you can email it
to us, then you can use the Upload Images Process to upload your
image for auction picture hosting. Uploading an image is the same
as attaching it to an email: locate it on your computer, and send
it off. Only with uploading, you get your image on the web right
away.
Am
I ready to upload my images to myPhotoDrive?
If you have registered with us, and you have a JPEG or GIF file,
and you know where it is on your computer, you should be ready!
Log on and follow the Upload Image Instructions.
Can
I put more than one picture on an auction?
Absolutely. Upload the images you want to see in your listing,
go to the image manager section and choose the URL or HTML Code
for the images you would like to show and insert the URL(s) in
the image URL Box(s) or insert the HTML code into the description
box.
How
many pictures should I include in my auction?
The
saying, "a picture is worth a thousand words" is true.
Try and cover the item you are selling in detail having more than
one picture doesn't just help, it is a necessity to have an effective
auction listing. Try and have 2 or 3 detailed images of the item
you are selling taken from different viewpoints.
What
is the best image size for Online Auctions?
Picture file size should be under 50kb (kilobytes) for quick page
downloads. The visual size of your picture should be no larger
than a standard photograph (3" by 5" or 4" by 6").
Remove unnecessary background. Save your edited picture as a JPEG,
JPG or GIF file (file types other than JPEG, JPG, or GIF can not
be uploaded most auction picture hosting sites will except only
these images).
